About George

I grew up in Ploiești, Romania, came to Manchester and studied at Manchester Metropolitan University.

In 2011 my wife and I started an e-commerce business, Girly Handbags. It taught me marketing, margins and how to sell to people I'd never meet.

In 2013 I bought my first property. Later we ran a construction company that delivered HMOs, commercial-to-residential conversions and buy-to-let refurbishments for clients. That's where I learnt what a refurb really costs, and what happens when a builder goes wrong.

Since then I've run buy-to-lets, HMOs, serviced accommodation and now social housing leases, testing each one with my own money first. There's a cycle to everything in property. My strength isn't one strategy; it's knowing when to change.

What I run today

Manchester Sourcing sources hands-off property for investors, many of them overseas. Since 2018 we've sourced 450+ properties and bought £70m+ of property for clients across the North of England.

Guaranteed Rent Hub places landlords' houses with social housing providers on a lease, so the rent is paid by the provider rather than a tenant.

Why I mentor

Retail, construction, property: different businesses, the same lessons. Know your product. Know your numbers. Build systems so it doesn't all depend on you. That's what I mentor.

I mentor because I wish someone had narrowed things down for me in my first five years. If you're already doing deals, or building your own portfolio, and want a second pair of eyes for a year, book a call.
