Who we are and what we collect

Last updated: 2 October 2026. This policy explains how we collect and use your personal information when you use georgesamoila.co.uk, book a mentoring call or work with George Samoila as a mentee.

Who we are

This website and George Samoila's property mentoring are run by SAM Property Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09969269), registered office 110a The Beehive Offices, 53 Derby Street, Manchester, M8 8HW. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZA590903. We are the controller of the personal information described here. For any question about this policy or your information, email george@georgesamoila.co.uk.

What we collect

Contact form: your first name, last name, email address and message. Booking a mentoring call: the details you enter in the booking form (usually your name, email address and phone number, plus any answers you give) and the time you choose. Emails and messages: your contact details and what you send us. If you become a mentee: what you share during the mentoring (your goals, your business and the deals or numbers you ask George to review), WhatsApp messages, call notes and invoicing records. Browsing the site: technical information such as your device, browser and the pages you visit, collected through cookies (see below). We don't ask for special category information such as health details, so please don't send it.

How we use it and who we share it with

How we use it, and our lawful basis

Replying to your enquiry and arranging a call: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us. Holding the mentoring call and, if you go ahead, delivering the 12-month mentoring: contract, or steps you ask us to take before entering into one. Invoicing and keeping accounting records: legal obligation. Occasional emails about our mentoring and property content: your consent or, if you have booked a call or worked with us, our legitimate interests under the soft opt-in rules; you can opt out at any time. Keeping the website secure and working, and understanding how it is used so we can improve it: legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests are running and promoting a mentoring business, answering enquiries and improving our website, and we only rely on them where they aren't outweighed by your rights.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract: Wix.com (hosts this website, the contact form and our blog), HighLevel/LeadConnector (our booking calendar and contact records), Google Workspace (email and Google Meet video calls), WhatsApp (messages with mentees between calls) and our accountant. We may also share information where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

International transfers

Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (for example Israel, and US organisations certified to the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by the ICO's International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and bookings that don't lead to mentoring: 12 months from our last contact. Mentee records, including invoices: 6 years after the mentoring ends, for tax and contract reasons. Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only what we need to make sure we don't email you again.

Cookies, your rights and complaints

Cookies

The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, and analytics cookies that tell us in aggregate how the site is used. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. We don't use advertising cookies on this site. The site links to George's LinkedIn profile, his Facebook Page and our booking page; those sites have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it (including objecting to direct marketing at any time), to have it moved to another organisation, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Email george@georgesamoila.co.uk to use any of these rights; we'll reply within one month and there's normally no charge. You don't have to give us your information, but we need your contact details to reply to you and the information the mentoring requires to deliver it. We don't make decisions about you by automated means.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first at george@georgesamoila.co.uk. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything changes; the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
